Wanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Sciences and Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine both from Touro College in New York. She has been in practice with her unique style of healing based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Marital Arts for three years treating clients in New York City and Connecticut.

Her introduction into the field of Chinese Medicine came in 1992 when attended a Tom Bisio seminar on Five Element Chinese Medicine, while studying martial arts at White Lotus Kung Fu, a Shaolin based art taught by David Everett and Miles Grody. Shortly thereafter, Wanda began her studies of internal martial arts systems studying Tang Shou Tao Xing Yi Chuan and Liang Zhen Pu Ba Gua Zhang under Tom Bisio concurrent with Chinese Medicine Theory in order to advance within the internal arts systems. In the mid 90’s, Wanda became an Assistant Xing Yi Instructor in the North American Tang Shou Tao Association and helped teach classes in Xing Yi and Ba Gua. She studied with renowned martial art teachers like Liang Ke Quan (Xing Yi) and Gao Ji Wu (Ba Gua).

Simultaneously with her martial arts studies, Wanda learned Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), Bone Setting, and Chinese medicine techniques for the treatment of Trauma and Orthopedic conditions. She completed the Zheng Gu Tui Na curriculum with Bisio and Frank Butler while pursuing her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In 2003, Wanda began an intensive Chinese Medicine apprenticeship under Tom Bisio. Between 2004 and 2006, she completed several clinical shifts at Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn, where she provided palliative care for oncology patients, treated patients undergoing orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, and worked within the labor and delivery care unit under the supervision of Claudia Citkovitz and Maryanne Traviglione. Wanda became a Research Team Member for The New York State Coalition for Acupuncture Legislature Initiative (NYSAC).

After completion of her Master’s Degree, in 2008, Wanda returned to Asia to further her Chinese Medical Studies and Martial Art studies. While in Beijing, she attended classes and made patient rounds at Dong Zhi Men Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Zhao Jiping where she gained further clinical experience treating Depression, Weight Management, Immune Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Paralysis, and pain from Trauma, Surgery, and Injury. She furthered her studies in Ba Gua Zhang with Master Gao.

By 2009, Wanda completed additional training in Pediatrics, Wilderness Medicine and Infectious Diseases with the Global Alternative Healthcare Project (GAHP), becoming a member of the non-profit organization which focuses on bringing medical services to remote villages throughout the world. Wanda has journeyed and assisted in bringing medical care to the Navajo Indians in Arizona and she has also assisted with bringing medical supplies to the native peoples of San Marcos, Guatemala.

She continues to work with Tom Bisio and is currently assisting with teaching the Zheng Gu Tui Na Seminars and actively teaches Ba Gua Zhang in Fairfield, CT.
